GFHS Journal

We publish a quarterly journal which is sent free to members. It contains news and articles of interest to family historians exclusively written for the society.

A CD of the first 100 journals is available for purchase.

Journal Articles

You are invited to submit articles for publication in our Journal. We are particularly interested in having brief articles on research techniques, or uncommon areas of research, or descriptions and histories of parishes. Your submissions should be sent to the Editor via the Family History Centre or emailed to: editor@gfhs.org.uk

Journal Queries Column

We run this column in our journal so that readers can publish their queries. Queries should be typed or written in block capitals, one query per sheet of paper, or E-mailed to the Journal Editor:

Please remember to include your name, address and where appropriate your membership number on your query. This service is free to members. Non-members are charged as follows:
£1.00 for the first 20 words or less. (Dates count as one word.)
+ 50p for each additional block of up to 10 words.
+ 50p for the address of any length.
