Driving directions to the Crypt School, Gloucester, GL2 5AE

  1. From Swindon & Cirencester directions via A417
    1. Turn left at the Air Balloon public house towards Gloucester
    2. First roundabout (Zoons Court roundabout) straight ahead on A417
    3. Next roundabout straight ahead still on A417 (A38) (C & G building on left)
    4. Next roundabout straight ahead on Eastern Avenue (A38 Bristol)
    5. Next roundabout straight ahead again on A38 to Bristol
    6. Next roundabout straight ahead again on Finlay Road (A38 Bristol)
    7. Last roundabout (St Barnabas church on your right) straight ahead again on Southern Avenue / Cole Avenue (A38 Bristol, Quedgeley)
    8. Nearly there. Look out for traffic lights and prepare to turn right. You will see the Crypt School on your right just before you turn right
    9. Bear right into Podsmead Road and then turn right into the Crypt School

  2. From Stroud direction via A46
    1. At Pitchcombe take left fork on A4173 towards Gloucester
    2. Keep on the A4173 until you reach a roundabout with St. Barnabas Church in front of you
    3. Turn left at this roundabout on to Southern Avenue / Cole Avenue (A38 Bristol)
    4. Follow from 1.8

  3. From Bristol and the South via M5
    1. Leave M5 at junction 12
    2. Turn left signposted A38 Gloucester
    3. Turn right at roundabout onto A38 towards Gloucester
    4. Over two roundabouts called Cross Keys and Waterwells, still on A38 to Gloucester
    5. Be prepared to turn right at major junction with traffic lights onto Ring Road
    6. At next traffic lights turn left (there is a footbridge over the road as a marker)
    7. Bear right onto Podsmead Road and then turn right into the Crypt School

  4. From Bristol direction via A38
    1. Follow A38 until 3.4 above

  5. From Birmingham direction via M5
    1. Leave M5 at junction 11
    2. Turn right at roundabout to join A40 towards Gloucester
    3. Turn left at next roundabout, signed A417 Cirencester
    4. Turn right at next roundabout onto Ring Road (A38)
    5. Go to 1.5

  6. From Cheltenham direction via A40
    1. Keep on A40 until roundabout
    2. Follow from 5.3

  7. From Cheltenham direction via A46
    1. Keep on A46 until A417 junction
    2. Turn right and filter onto A417
    3. Follow from 1.2

  8. From Ross on Wye direction via A40
    1. Follow A40 towards Gloucester
    2. You will go over a roundabout with A48 to your right – keep to A40
    3. Straight over next roundabout on A40 (This is the A417 junction)
    4. Straight over roundabout on A40 (This is the A38 junction to Tewkesbury on left)
    5. Straight ahead again at next roundabout on A40, signed towards Cirencester
    6. At next roundabout turn right onto A417
    7. Straight ahead at next roundabout onto A38 towards Bristol. This is Eastern Avenue
    8. Go to 1.5

  9. From Chepstow via A48
    1. Turn right at roundabout junction onto A40 towards Gloucester
    2. Go to 8.4

  10. From Ledbury via A417
    1. Follow A417 until the junction with the A40
    2. Turn left at this roundabout onto A40 towards Gloucester
    3. Go to 8.4

  11. From Tewkesbury via A38
    1. Follow A38 until roundabout junction with A40
    2. Turn left onto A40
    3. Go to 8.5
